Conversation with Myself (in 3 parts)
1 Adult
2 Child
3 Fusion
1
I wear a classic white shirt with long sleeves. My body language is
grim, demanding, strict, more like an adult in this serious cold
working world.
The vocals and abstract sounds coming from my mouth are very hard,
edged, rough, with mainly consonants (ch, ck, r, b, t etc), scratch
vocal sounds, a little bit like swiss german or dutch or some arabic
language.
2
As transition to the second part I take off my long sleeve shirt and
remain with a white short sleeve t-shirt. My body language and facial
expression changes into a more child behavior-thing.
I will mainly use soft vocals with vowels (a, e, i, o, u), round
sounds, brighter voice, a bit comical, abstract, lunatic.
3
As transition to the third part I take off my t-shirt and remain
topless. This part is a fusion of the first two parts. A schizophrenic
metamorphosis of a man with a child inside. A man who remembers being
a child, a child who wants to be an adult etc.
I will switch back and forth with my voice, being strict and demanding
in one moment, and then totally silly and childish in the next moment.
This part is going to be more dynamic and wild and will lead the
performance to its peak and end.
This is my basic idea for the three parts. I think it could be nice to
see the metamorphosis and transitions from an adult in the beginning
to a child in the middle part and finally to schizophrenic fusion at
the end.
Projected typos on my upper body could be very edged, scribbled and
scratchy in the beginning, then more round and curved during the child
part, and finally totally chaotic and more black and wild in the final
3rd part or also stickmen like, small childish drawings, figures,
which would collaborate nicely with all my tattoos on my upper body.
I will improvise all my vocals and maybe use some pre-recorded vocal
sounds from my small sampler. But I will probably change and switch
very fast from one abstract word to another, which won't probably
allow enough time to adjust every typo to the sounds I create in the
moment. But I'm sure this won't be a problem since it's more important
to develop a unique language on both sides (performance & typos) and
not having a totally timed perfect play. But I can definitely try in
the beginning of each part to be a bit slower and leave more space.
Ok, please let me know what you think. It would be great to keep it a
bit open and see it as an improvisation, an experiment.
